 The members of Ski Roundtop Racing Club respectfully

About the Ski
Roundtop Racing Club
The Ski Roundtop Racing Club (SRRC) is a 501(c)(3) tax
deductible non-profit
organization dedicated to promoting the sport of junior ski racing in central
Pennsylvania. Membership consists of 90 alpine racing members and 17
snowboard racing members. About half of our members participate in United
States Ski & Snowboard Association (USSA) sanctioned competitions. USSA racing
is the avenue athletes, with the ability and desire, qualify for the U.S. Ski
Team. SRRC development team members do not participate in USSA events. They
train up to 4 days per week and race in inter-club races with weekly and
year-end awards. SRRC has been an extraordinarily successful program for a
race club not located in a mountain state. We have produced many Pennsylvania
state champions, podium positions at the Junior Olympics, medal winners at
national events, and even athletes who have gone on to race internationally.
More importantly, all members learn the importance of commitment, dedication,
hard work, and sportsmanship. Most SRRC alumni earn college degrees and become
productive employees or successful entrepreneurs. The club also supports
Special Olympics racers with equipment donations and free membership.
SRRC is supported with member dues, small-scale
fundraising, and profits from running USSA races. These funds provide
coaching, on-hill equipment, athlete safety gear, and miscellaneous
administrative expenses. Over the past 10 years, SRRC has raised $47,000 to
help fund a competition center that will be built partially with volunteer
labor. We are now ready to build this facility, but we are in need of $28,000
to complete the building in 2010.

Competition CENTER
This facility will be the only ski competition center in Pennsylvania that
provides adequate space for running and timing races, promoting club
activities, and function as a training and storage center. Other uses:
