SRRC Club Race Series

Saturday Morning - 10:00 am - 1st Race Jan. 9, 2010 - last Race Mar. 6, 2010

The first SRRC Club race is the Patrick Shire Memorial GS on Jan. 9, 2010                                                     A special award will be presented to the J-3 boy and girl with the fastest overall time.

No race on Saturday Feb. 27, 2010

(Open to all Competition Team, Travel Team, Masters Team and Snowboard Team Members.)

Optional PARA Races for 2-3-4 day Competition Team Members

Competition Team members are eligible to participate in no more than two (2) PARA races per year.  SRRC coaching representation at these events introduces an athlete to USSA sanctioned racing.  Coaching representation for the 2010 season is provided at the following events:

A Race Entry form that must be completed to register for a race. Entry forms may be obtained from the PARA website. www.PaRacing.org Complete a race entry form for each of the race. Complete the form and mail with the enclosed payment (via check payable to the host club) by the deadline indicated to the address indicated below. Race fees do not cover lift tickets, although lift tickets are usually available at a slight discount. Racers and their families are responsible for their own transportation, meals, and/or accommodations.

Receipt of race registrations are not acknowledged by the race organizers. As long as you have forwarded the necessary forms and payments by the deadline date, you are automatically entered unless notified otherwise by race organizer. 

Racers should plan an arrival at the race site approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours before the race start. Racers should carry their USSA card as evidence of licensing at each race event. The USSA card is submitted to obtain race bibs, and returned immediately upon turning in a race bib after the race.

Racers are assisted by SRRC Coaches in course inspection, race preparation, and resolving issues about race regulations.  Racers are responsible for meeting coaches at the designated race start at the beginning of course inspection and for their position in two runs.

Racers will complete 2 to 3 runs per day. A mid-day break, for lunch and/or warm-up, occurs during the reset between courses.   Races and awards are usually completed by late afternoon.

Last minute cancellations should be communicated to an SRRC coach attending the race. Race fees are non-refundable except in the case of injury or extreme circumstances.  

Volunteers are needed to conduct the race and the race organizers normally look for help from visiting team parents to fill all of the necessary spots. In some cases, a lift ticket is provided for volunteer positions. If you are interested in helping, please ask at the race registration desk.
